WATCH: INSIDE THE TREATMENT ROOM

What does a good laser endpoint actually look like? Watch this.

Get inches away from a real ablative resurfacing treatment and see what students rarely get from a textbook: the pattern on the skin, the immediate response and the clinical details an experienced provider is watching throughout the procedure.

60-SECOND SCIENCE

Why does collagen take time to build?

Because collagen remodeling is a process, not an instant reaction. Treatments like microneedling, RF microneedling and resurfacing create a controlled stimulus that tells the skin to repair itself. That kicks off a sequence: inflammatory signals appear first, fibroblasts are activated, new collagen is produced, and then that collagen has to organize, strengthen and remodel. Early collagen is essentially the framework. Over the following weeks and months, it matures and becomes more structured, which is why improvements in firmness, texture and skin quality can continue long after the treatment itself.

SAME SCIENCE.
A HEALTHIER YOU OVER TIME.

TIPS FROM OUR TEAM

September Healthy Aging Month

A season to focus on strength, skin health, energy, and graceful aging.

  • Trade harsh summer exfoliants for a gentle lactic acid peel to rebuild the skin barrier.— BECCA
  • Schedule Sculptra now, it needs 2 sessions over months to peak by December parties.— ARIEL
  • Add a Vitamin C serum each morning to counter months of accumulated desert sun damage.— AMY
  • Sleep on a silk pillow as cotton pulls moisture from skin faster.— PHOEBE

Why fall is the best time for collagen-stimulating treatments

Collagen doesn't happen overnight. It takes your skin weeks to rebuild and remodel after treatments like microneedling, RF, or a biostimulator such as Sculptra or PRF. Translation: start now, and your skin has time to do the work before holiday photos, parties and family gatherings.

And RF has gotten a lot more sophisticated. At Revise, our AGNES RF and AGNES ULTRA technologies allow us to go beyond traditional RF microneedling. Depending on the treatment area and handpiece, AGNES can precisely target the fat pads that create under-eye bags, reduce small pockets of fat beneath the chin and along the jawline, and tighten lax skin across the face. AGNES ULTRA also expands treatment to larger body areas, including loose upper-arm "bat wings" and stubborn bra-line fat, combining targeted contouring with RF-driven skin firming and collagen remodeling.

As temperatures start to ease, healing is also a little more comfortable. Less intense heat and sun exposure make it easier to manage the temporary redness and swelling that can follow collagen-stimulating treatments.

Fall also gives you room to actually finish a series. Many collagen-building treatments work best as a set of sessions spaced weeks apart. Starting in September or October gives your skin time to remodel gradually. Book now, and by the holidays, your skin's already done the work.

MYTHBUSTING — RF MICRONEEDLING
1

MYTH: IT'S JUST REGULAR MICRONEEDLING WITH A FANCY NAME

BUSTEDRF adds controlled radiofrequency energy beneath the skin for an extra collagen-remodeling boost.

2

MYTH: IT'S ONLY FOR WRINKLES

BUSTEDRF microneedling can also target skin texture, acne scars, laxity and overall skin quality.

3

MYTH: MORE AGGRESSIVE MEANS BETTER RESULTS

BUSTEDNope. The right depth and energy matter more than simply turning everything up.

4

MYTH: ONE TREATMENT AND YOU'RE DONE

BUSTEDSkin remodeling takes time, and a series of treatments is often recommended for the best outcome.
